@Daxarhagron OS X
yelling about software
@mawr I know spell check is working in Chrome in Win10 but didn't notice it in Safari or Chrome just now
yelling about software
@Daxarhagron Google decided to roll their own-- none of the text replacement functions or OS based spellchecker work
In Chrome proper they have their own spell check built in, and I have plugins that do a lot of the things that OS X does natively, but in Chrome wrapper apps like the Discord app, or the "Telegram Desktop" app, you don't get that option. You're just stuck with nothing

@mawr OHHHHHH YEAH I noticed this fucking shit. It took them fucking forever to implement font/UI scaling in Discord and I had to change the CSS to alter fonts which is NOT WHAT A FINISHED APP SHOULD NEED

@mawr holy fuck I see what you mean now, typing this from Chrome (whatever's the latest) on OS X 10.12.6. It shows the squiggles briefly but then they disappear.

@Daxarhagron And those squiggles are not from OS X's spellcheck libraries, that's entirely internal to Chrome.
And we wonder why web browsers now have memory footprints averaging in gigabtyes these days... *growl*

@Daxarhagron I tried that tag but it didn't find you
