Watching Blue Velvet for the first time; despite being a huge Twin Peaks fan, I've never watched any of David Lynch's films!

Blue Velvet Spoilers 

So, right after watching the movie, I felt it ended 'to cleanly'.

Then I realized the movie was filmed nearly exclusively from Jefferey's perspective, and he was shown to be pretty manipulative and skeevy in his own right. Therefore it makes sense for his story to frame him as the concerned citizen turned hero who saves the day and takes care of the entire mob.

The robin caught the bug, and the day was saved. Nevermind the untouched hive that produced those bugs
