Thinking of a fighting game arcade mode that is structed more closely to a FFXIV raid fight.

Your opponent moves through a pre-determined set of attacks, with phases that requires you to: block high-low mixups; Get into melee range of a zoner; dodge a grappler's command grab; etc. They would then use the games built-in minus frames to teach players when they can start to do their own combos in a sort of "damage phase"
