Strong opinions, or 'takes', of various heats - The "hot take" format of post has a tendency to provoke; it promotes discussion, yes, but it also can spark debate, and the discussions happening in replies can get quite heated. Again, something that folks may wish not to see.
And, as always, a request for CWs is not a request to avoid talking about a subject, it's a courtesy to soften shock, and promote level-headed engagement.
