have a test coming up that's so easy that, even though i don't *currently* know how to solve those problems, i'm confident that i can figure it out by approaching it logically instead of trying to remember the step-by-step shit we were supposed to learn

i'm talking "find the standard form equation of a line that contains these two points" easy. there's a series of steps i could learn but instead i'm probably just going to find the slope and solve for one of the points for the y intercept and work from there
