This behavior of eviscerating people who do not fall in-line is both unnecessary and frankly dangerous to the well-being of this network.
@policeinchains because YouTube and Twitter are corporations, not individual people
@shaderphantom This doesn't make sense. Action is the same.
@policeinchains and neither is Fedilab actively hosting nazis
@shaderphantom When a person becomes conscious of a passive action that can be stopped, it turns into an active one.
@shaderphantom Hold your breath, for example.
@policeinchains you seem to think I don't want Fedilab to reverse their decision and have conflated that with my disapproval of dogpiling and harassment for someone's decision
@policeinchains and to be really abundantly clear that is a form of policing largely in the hands of people with social capital. It's a capitalist's game.
@shaderphantom No it's not. I have no social capital and i am doing the policing here and know by moral judgements.
@policeinchains this just reads to me as "it's okay for me to police and harass people [I don't know] because I'm not popular enough for it to spread" and that is frankly an unacceptable stance to me if you really do consider yourself an anarchist
@shaderphantom Why exactly? People in positions where they can make important decisions effecting everyone, and then making bad decisions need to be policed and harrassed if necessary. Anarchy is each person having control of her life, majority forcing minority with power over them to bow down is the process by which anarchy can be established. We are anarchists, we don't live in anarchy. Pretending we are all equals today is not part of the package. And i brought up that i have no social capital because i don't care about interpersonal drama. I just made a judgement.
@shaderphantom i don't support harrassement, but dogpiling people into changin their decisions about hosting fascists is reasonable enough. My stance would be different if, let's say, a person is in denial about nature of his or her friend's political affiliation. People who are conscious of their decisions are responsible as well.
@shaderphantom How is it unnecessary and dangerous to go after someone for hosting nazis? We blast twitter and youtube for hosting nazis, how is this any different?
