turned off by SGDQ, long

yeah, i'm not really happy with what went down on wednesday. some dude got assaulted, and they got banned for that.

a dude got harrassed constantly, and their run got fuckin removed.

oh, and apparently their mascot was made by a transphobic douche, though i still haven't really looked into that, take it with a grain of salt.

this is just really, really disappointing, and especially the lack of communication gives off the vibe that GDQ just does whatever the hell they feel like to keep up that "we don't do anything bad!" image, even if it means cutting off people who, for no fault of their own, got involved in scuffles.

i was legitimately planning to donate to GDQ on friday, during one of the many runs i'd be watching throughout the day, but on second thought...i'll keep my money and buy terraria on switch instead, and donate to doctors without borders next month.

GDQ, get your shit together man. your lack of transparency has been a huge issue ever since you went big.

it's enabled people who legitimately misbehaved to take advantage of that and make you out to be the bad guy, and now it's making people who were not in the wrong seem like the bad guy, when they were the ones being antagonized.

@EeveeDefender The situation with Fatbody was not GDQ's fault. The hotel kicked him out, mishandled it and refuses to take responsibility. GDQ firmly stands beside Fatbody but they can't override the hotel's decision.

GDQ has also (quickly and quietly) taken care of a serious situation which is not really public.

@shaderphantom ahh, i must've misheard about that

still though, the other two points still stand, so it's still an ehhhh
