the difference between off-site stream viewers' attitude like r/speedrun and on-site attendees attitude about gdq is fucking night and day. r/speedrun is absolutely cancerous and it sucks so bad to read, but the peanut gallery effect is strong elsewhere too.

yeah, the drama happens on-site. nobody here is happy about it. but we're still having a good time and we're still raising a lot of money for MSF. it turns out the event is NOT, in fact, entirely defined by shitty things people do and the peanut gallery's perception of it.
