Morning shower thoughts:
Patreon functionality as a Mastodon add-on.
Problems:
* omfg I don't know if I want my instance to be a payment processor
* we'd definitely have to find a stable token to pass around between instances in lieu of $$
* super easy for a Pirate Instance to ignore locked settings? I guess some encryption or something I dunno?
* would need a way to subscribe to *just* a creator's Patron Toots because maybe you just wanna see my comics and not every single damn brain fart I feel like tooting
basically like we have this growing network to move content around, can/should we use it to get people paid for making Good Content?

@anthracite I would go with Librapay, really. Patreon is going downhill.
@squeakycheetah yeah this is more "creating another Patreon alternative" thoughts than "linking Patreon to Mastodon" thoughts.
Not sure if Librapay's lack of per-thing payment works for me, I can have long breaks in my work output...
