You know, some people, from birdsite, I don't really want here.
Those seem to be much happier on there anyway, where they can dunk on people to look good and force their righteous thinking into everyone's face.
They fight for a good cause, they do a good thing, but they lost touch to people and don't realize the hurt they cause themselves anymore and that won't change here.
And I don't want that here, at all.
I'm here on Mastodon, because we respect boundaries.
We CW to have people opt-in.
We scold people who dunk on others, because that is not part of our culture and not how we want to interact.
We keep this place clean and how we want it to and that's what I like.
The mutual respect and taking care of each other, is something that is lost on bird site and I don't want the main perpetrators coming over here and doing the same.
I love this place too much to have that happen.

Same... while I respect the fight, I do not want this place to turn into birdsite Jr... and it would. It is important to do what is right, but the birdsite culture takes it to such an overzealous extreme that it becomes more about the fight itself than what is truly right.
