There is that thing called "Adventskalender" in Germany which basically counts up the days from December 1st to 24th (Christmas) and every day, you can open one of its doors. Something I have noticed is that, even though it was made for children, young adults still have one every year, which is pretty damn adorable.
@AdalwinAmillion we have them in the US too, but they're generally super cheap--made of cardboard, the chocolate are the really cheap gritty kind. nobody over here takes them seriously. which is a pity, it's a super fun idea. :\
