Gonna be communicating with a server today, instead of people. Lets see if I can be listened to and have a semi working new staging server by the end of day.

Today is a day where I am mostly free of my current freelance gig and might have time to get stuff done of my own today. However, I realize that a big chunk of research looms in 2 realms -- my family's business and going a bit off my typical path for an e-commerce copy writing gig.

These days, I feel researching and getting outside perspectives on things now that Im not tapped into collaborative environments and info flow.

(2/2) However, because a lack of info from a client, Im forced to go against this. Just made a call to a new person, the fourth person now tried. Sadly, it landed me at the same result.... none of the info I wanted. Paycheck will still suffer.

Part of my current life's direction involves not bothering with the collaborative side to gather info from. Reverted back to relying on just myself and what I can find online/through reading these days. Really, everyone is busy and there is no room for demanding my words stop falling into a void.

Its not like I dont already see how collaborating in anything wastes time (for me), and gets a result I dont want. (1/2)

Hmmm... going back on my "drifting down the river on an 'island'" analogy... my list of efforts, energies and conversations for the void seem to be *increasing* despite knowing how perpetual a cycle of isolation can be.

Just gonna keep on movin, and Ill try to enjoy the scenery.

Can I just emphasize how convenient "they/them" pronouns are? Getting a potential client referred over to my services and their govt name is a name that could be any gender. My natural gravitation to gender neutral pronouns automatically kills embarrassing assumptions being made.

Trying to set up an announcement feed for SoCal Furs (Telegram Announcements Channel). Hmm... need to find the right way to do it, and of course do something that will help automate posts. :/

You cant stop life from making its mark on you. If emotionally possible, you can own it and find a light hearted approach... (someone backing into my parked car all those years ago is trivial in comparison)

I know Mastodon isnt as simple to use as Twitter (decentralized networks probably arent), but I really would like to see more people using Mastodon. I used to think that Twitter was at least FAR better than FB. However, now? Not anymore

Outside of microblogging, I also looked into Mewe (more overall social network, than microblogging service).

Running into more metaphorical shut-and-locked doors in my social life. Turning further in on myself to keep myself out of whatever trouble seems to find me, these days.

Maybe I should take a vow of silence, like monks sometimes do. Learn to shut my brain off, as well.

Put some social media as inactive. I found that expressing things where I feel an emotion about it is getting me in trouble. This makes apologies hard (as I saw with yesterday). Even applying temp blocks and mutes of things on Telegram and other instant forms of communication. Dont need to dig myself deeper.

Well in trying to assure a friend something, i was damned from the start. This tells me that, generally speaking, Im just gonna have to suggest that people dont expect any words out of me.

And the perpetual "damned if you do and damned if you dont" scenario with communication strikes again. This is why I just...dont.

Social time has been limited, the last 2 weeks especially. Briefly check on things and keep new events flowing to SCF. Had a brief bout of time to check things on one of my personal accts, and all I got was the reminder of why I dropped alot of telegram chats and am not in fetish social spaces.

I know my mom didn't care at the time (and probably still wouldnt), but this mistake is gonna cost me $600. Lack of access + being unable to gamble with The System/insurance makes for a discouraged Kat.

I kind of find irony in Twitter getting accused of Shadow Banning one specific party (the Republicans). We all know Jack doesnt give a s**t about abusers and usually punishes the victims of hateful behaviour instead. So.... Republicans being targeted is just propostuous.

However... Maybe with the repubs bawwwing about such things, it will bring light to what we have known for mos.--the shadow banning system is meant to silence voices, marketed as "just procedure".
