worst power idea
So you create a giant sphere with a bunch of hardened plates on springs, and use the compression of the springs to turn an axel to generate power. You compress the springs by dropping a (small!) nuke in every so often
Orion reactor!
(the scary part is that the mechanisms for combining the work from all those springs to an axel might be more dangerous than the rest of the idea..)
@kauko "what if we forced users to do the "reset my password" dance every time, except there's no password?"
it's kind of baffling
He has also, now, decided that even though I don't feed him 2nd dinner, it is my responsibility to GET the other person to feed him.
Just bothering the person that actually feeds him is apparently a no-go. DOGS.
Today at the dog park: Parker harassing another dog who has the same name, resulting in confusion all around
And proving that @mawr and co calling him "Bullet Bill" was accurate when he saw another dog running, waited then sprinted off and hip checked the poor thing sending it flying. He loved it, best game! The other dog was not a fan :D
re: capitalism, sociology, discrimination
@tillianisafox Capitalism is very, very young compared to systemic oppression though. The US was already doing chattel slavery when it became a thing for example.
Currency OTOH is old, so old that it's near impossible to tell if it predates systemic oppression or not.
"Thanks irrelevant detail center" #nocontext
@kauko Dunno if you can do it for everyone, but if you go to their profile there is a disable boosts feature
OK I think I re-added everyone I was following on dragon.style. Sorry! Also you'll need to re-follow me, it also knocked everyone's follows off.
I will of course be doing the "did I get everyone?" for a while, and also losing the notif history was aarg.
Oh well don't push buttons without doing research kids :P
re: Masto block details
@BlurTheFur @Okesska the doc I posted is a little out of date as the feature does remove existing follows now too. But could also be a caching thing, yeah
Masto block details
I looked it up it says a block does this
Block a domain to:
hide all public posts from it
hide all notifications from it
remove all followers from it
prevent following new users from it (but does not remove existing follows)
so I guess it doesn't stop them from seeing your stuff? its odd design

re: trans femme folks hrt question
@rooster it stops when it feels like stopping, basically. I think the midrange is 24-36 months, but there's a pretty wide variation.
Oh and if you gain weight, bonus breast will arrive with it. Same way the other direction sadly.
@mcc It also had the problem that it's one way. On a server, all blocking someone does is prevent *you* from seeing what they do. They can still read all your posts
Discord is fine for what it is, but a lot of communities are using it as a combined forum/wiki/Twitter/chat which is..not ideal
re: Mastodon related question
@KaffeineKaiju I *think* it works both ways
@mawr I think you're just a bit higher than us then! It's mostly doing a great impression of a slushy here
That doephin (Phoenix-D) you might know. Sometimes NFSW but always tagged when so. More of that over at doephinad@dragon.style
