GOTHIFICATION.
Pt. I:
You've been a teacher's pet, you've been a gym rat, you've been an obedient dog. You've been a bubbly, girly airhead, which was awkward at first, but which seemed to satisfy some deep antediluvian ache for both of you. There was a weekend where you were a cowgirl, and you and your girlfriend had to get very creative in your cramped apartment. But there was one thing that she always seemed to dance over when it came time to discuss how she was going to hypnotize you next.
GOTHIFICATION.
"What do you mean, I have a 'thing' for goth girls?" Her voice is indignant but her eyes are wide and nervous. You aren't fooled for a second. You've seen her browser history. You've heard her stories about the desperate, unrequited closet crushes she had for a string of sullen girls in black. You've seen her apply eyeliner perfectly to both eyes in under a minute, with the smooth, fluid gestures that can only come from years of practice. These details don't add up by coincidence.
GOTHIFICATION.
She sighs, then pouts, then relents. "Fine! Yes! It's not a big thing! Practically everyone is these days, whatever!" She's clearly flustered about this, a far cry from the her usual cool, confident attitude. "But that's not everything I'm into, and I could never... I mean you're... well, you're just too sweet, aren't you?"
