Experiencing media and spoliers

When I'm watching a show, or playing a story game, I try to avoid spoiler content. Give me like, at MINIMUM an hour window before and after the content before talking about stuff ahead of where I am so I can mentally separate my own experience from what I'm being told.

But like..... how does someone sit down to play a game, but then watch future content they'll experience being explained in like... a lore analysis video?

Why not experience that as fresh new things, having the plot flow and reveal as intended the first time, THEN do the lore analysis stuff. Like, why?

I don't think I'd finish playing VC4 if I watched all the future cutscenes from where I am, and those have almost no actual impact on what playing the missions is like.

@IrisKalmia nah, VC4's seemingly just my actual interest around here
