re: pro queer stuff
So as payment for you even having to read that poor take I had, have Boniface(Bon-if-ay) or Ifay. My most beloved 5e character I've ever played.
Born to a lesser noble's bodyguard; and finding an out of a life that did not fit him when the nobles were killed. He took up not only the dead heir's name but gender. Finally getting to live the life he wanted, and working to free his homelands from a necromancer.
Unknowingly a Paladin (a fun trope to play) he'd been granted powers by the lizard god his traveling companions follow (the god's own lands also under the control of the necromancers).... and the campaign fizzled out around the time he learn he had the only remaining claim to the throne of the whole kingdom.
From commonborn child with the wrong pronouns to a prince-to-be :3c
realisation of own queer-care growth. (possibly triggering on reflection of past brainsparks)
me, 2015: Is this character trans? I mean, I get they're masc but what if they're just an egg?
me, 2019: IS this character trans? He's cool and queer so he must be a trans dude.
Somewhere in there I went from the honestly kinda shitty take of "maybe I'm okay with trans dudes because they're still somewhat feminine" which like. Yeah ouch. Fuck that's a bad take and I know it.
I think it's more that I'm growing to be into ANYTHING not cishet, with just a femme bias.
re: FE3H take, explained.
YOU FOOL! IT IS NOT AN ESSAY BUT A LIST!
1: he's respectful of your status as the elder-queer in the scenario.
2: huge powerbottom/sub energy, depending on interaction
3: takes light flirting passes, but does not actually push on Byleth, because power dynamics is something her cares about.
3-a: yes, even noble-commoner lines. He's the house leader most willing to blur them.
4: Trans boy???
4-a: recently confirmed heir, perhaps because of transition instead of politics?
4-b: it becomes a far more wholesome world if so
5: such a disaster he can't even be straight on the cover.
Proctec. He.
FE3H take
Still playing through but, I see all you people shipping Edelgard-Byleth.
You've not considered the power dynamic problems of Teacher-Student relations. Nore her clearly classist and imperialist leanings (I mean she's the daughter of an emperor after all)
I give you the more wholesome gay:
Claude.
Essay to follow.
re: Daemon x Machina
@Fringecrow@snouts.online yeah! I'm a little sad you can't change the glow color on the mecha (yet?) but it's a very good aesthetic. Those mechs are about half the size of Cores, but it really has just the right vibe.
They're moblie but like, you can still feel the weight of them. I may actually be hype for a game now.
re: Birdsite screenshot (of my own tweet)
@AzureHusky yeah, forgot to have twitch save recordings <_< so we'll only have next year's game to go by
re: Birdsite screenshot (of my own tweet)
@AzureHusky I dunno if you tuned in to the KorpsCon weekend streams but we actually kinda DID this <_< ... in a game of Girl by Moonlight.
I need more villainous magical girls in my life I think
re: Daemon x Machina
@minty_da fair point! But AC games let you put similar on too without actually letting you join the faction. So..... I may be running by expections from 00s titles.
re: Daemon x Machina (lewd tho)
Like actually please just hack my brain and let me kill some of these anime trope characters?
The writing of the cast feels very.
Tropes.
re: ffxiv, pretty.
And after figuring out how to make that video postable? (flv is a weird format to record to)
Rain
re: daemon x machina
