your hivemind gf //
thinking about: dating a hivemind (telepathic clone type, not devouring swarm type)
who's integrated into society; they work a number of jobs, live in a few barracks-style group housing units; generally get along okay with people and don't wear flashy clothes.
They're really sweet, you hit it off, and being in lesbians it's not long before they invite you to move in. They have plenty of beds, after all.
and just — the small joys of cozy domestic living with a hivemind? they all smell like your girlfriend because they all are your girlfriend. you're the same size, so… hey if you wanna wear their "uniform" why not? they have plenty of extras. (they are the kind of person who found one outfit they like and ordered 250 sets of it; helps build brand recognition)
a lot of little things are different. they *don't* put their pants on just like everyone else — they dress each other (themselves) in pairs, extremely efficiently. they do a *lot* of things extremely efficiently, precisely dividing and coordinating the work. it seems likes working you into the domestic routines would be a net negative productivity. which leaves you as, what, their mascot? their pet? not that you really mind, but you'd like to be helpful…
they teach you how they get dressed, first. it's like a dance; once you get used to it, but once you get used to it you're almost as fast with your partner as any other pair. gradually they add you into more activities. they learn to say more things out loud, you learn to predict their movements. you begin to fit into their patterns, mastering one role at a time. never perfectly in sync, but well enough. you can laugh and love and appreciate each other's differences.
