Alright, after a while of whacking krohnkite with a wench, I installed bismuth and it worked out of the box. Now to figure out where all these programs store their files. That's another nice thing about i3 and sway, single file config.
so I didn't do it through a service menu, but I got the rightclick to let me open invidious videos in mpv by just adding mpv to the file associations for html files. Quick and dirty, but it works.
I just swatted at one mosquito in front of my screen and had 3 dead mosquitos in my hand 😬
I think i'll trun my air conditioner down a bit more. Perhaps plug in the zapper.

Janusweb seems to work pretty well in konqueror except for one thing: mouselock seems to be bugged on konqueror at the moment.It'll granr permission, hide the mouse, but it doesn't seem to persistently reset to the center, causing Big Spinny.
Arrow keys for looking around fix that tho.
Tileing is nice though, I may look at my options for setting that up later.
Oh, KDE just already has a custom hotkey system. Just made 🪟+Return open the terminal. This and being lightweight are really the main reasons I use a tileing wm. I might just use Plasma on my desktop and sway on my laptops then.

How I became convinced anarchism is the only way
I used to think all our problems came from economic inequalities. That people were hurting each other only because they were compelled to do so by the market. That if everyone had every material thing they needed, people would stop being assholes because there would be no reason to be one anymore.
Then I got involved in non-profits.
I've seen people who had absolutely no economic interest in a cause behave in the most horrible ways. I've seen people tearing each other apart for the most ludicrous reasons. I've seen people breaking the rules they edicted themselves just so they can keep their "president" title. I've seen people dismantling everything they had built and hurting everyone they had gathered in order to prevent anyone from replacing them. I've seen people *enraged* at the prospect of losing an election for a non-profit SELLING FUCKING CAKES to fund a camping trip. I've seen people treating everyone else like shit because they were "the boss".
@rantingsteve I remember having a very hard time rememberin "http://" and "https://" growing up. knowing about "gopher://" would've made that learning curve way less steep.
I gotta learn how to make a servicemenu entry so I can open videos in mpv from the rughtclick menu. That takes several clicks atm.

*Fairly quickly, if I can figure out how to log out from within sway.
I did all this mostly so konqueror / dolphin would have icons and such without having to manually configure. It seems the dark color pallete bugged out and only partially applied. I suppose with both kwin and sway switchable fairly quickly, that's fine.
I need to remember what's a compositor, what's a wm and what's a desktop enviroment at each step of the process. A lot to juggle there.
So the tutorial I was looking at was for using plasma as the compositor for i3. I couldn't get that to work, nor was it what I was looking for. All I had to do was install sway and I could pick it from the login screen!
