PHP...?
PHPbb, WordPress-- all the big names in PHP platforms got hacked, and everyone blamed the programming language. There's good arguments there for it, too- I've got plenty!
Turns out a lot of the most beloved and well used platforms were written by folks who weren't perfect wizards.
But what if... that's hiding something kind of awesome under the surface that could explain a lot of this? ![]()
PHP...!
I'd argue that PHP was the most accessible programming language of its day by leagues. It was one of the first human-readable languages with all the documentation and examples you could ask for already online. The original docs are still up, including comments over 20 years.
I think it's at least partially that PHP elevated a whole lot of people into coding because everything you needed was right there. Hell- I'm one of those people! ![]()
