If I ever actually figure out how to be a magister is, I'll tell you.
What I can tell you is that it's more than a title. It's a vocation, a calling. A drive to be the best self you can imagine. A willingness to admit every flaw, work tirelessly to fix them, and be open to every failing. It's an embrace of deep vulnerability. A lifetime's quest to never quite believe your own hype, to aim to do better.
To be a magister is to trade victory for vigilance.
@amalgam Equally important to everything you said is not to let a single stumble on the journey to this vocation become a referendum upon your life. Mistakes happen and the hardest thing in the world is to accept that they happened and to deal with them. You still remain a good and decent person at the core, and I firmly believe that.
