drug stuff, "I have lived a sheltered life" question

is there a difference in odor between a tobacco cigarette, vaping, and marijuana?

@KommaChameleon Absolutely. Cigarettes are more smoky/ashy. Vapes generally smell sweeter, closer to perfume or candy. Marijuana generally smells more sour and somewhat herbal.

@KommaChameleon Well vaping shouldn't smell like Tobacco (unless it's deliberately flavoured like that)

And weed doesn't smell like tobacco but I can't tell the difference either tbh.

@KommaChameleon Vape "smoke" is just water vapour so by itself it doesn't smell lol.

But you can have it flavoured so it will smell like whatever the vaper chose to flavour it with.

@KommaChameleon very much so, yeah

my sense of smell is diminished, and these are all second hand smoker experiences

tobacco tends to be really harsh, and I don't like being in the vicinity of someone smoking one
vape smoke tends to be flavoured, usually sweet, and kind of pleasant
I've forgotten what weed smells like at this point since it's been a few years since I was in Amsterdam

@KommaChameleon

Vaping cannabis oil is the least odor of all of these, then vaping nicotine extract, then vaping dry cannabis leaf (uses a very different kind of vaporizer!), and then each kind of smoke is uniquely harsh and offensive in a different way. I don't know about other means of vaping tobacco.
