I need a project and I need to not be working on it alone. I think lacking a creative outlet the past few months has demonstrably made my mood worse.

@sugar I try to include this info in my game recommendation sheet, though obviously that limits it to just the games that I personally like. There is some value in a more exhaustive list, or even just a protest “here are neat games lost in a vortex of copyright and bitrot”

@KommaChameleon yeah that is my motivation for the idea, just something that can be referenced to bring up how little is actually available
@RavenWorks @KommaChameleon 3DS, Switch, and Wii U, and the minis pretty much yeah. But there's also more oddball things like some games were once available on VC stores and then removed later on
@RavenWorks @KommaChameleon my dream wouldn't just be a list, but I'd love a site that basically mimicked the interface of a nes/snes mini to put it into perspective versus "sorry no Zombie Nation"
@sugar @RavenWorks how would it handle cases like the PlayStation Mini, where it’s like “you can technically buy this but it’s an awful conversion”
@KommaChameleon @RavenWorks that's something i'm not sure of! Poor emulation, or not quite there ports (like GBA's Mario Advance series).

@KommaChameleon honestly i've been tempted to talk with you and/or @RavenWorks about actually making a list of NES games (and ideally eventually other systems) which have no legal way of purchasing them that isn't "buy a used" copy.
