doesn't seem awful, other than the strain of holding the Wii U gamepad! Maybe this is because I'm coming into it fresh from the frustrations of RE6. I love the campy dialog and can tolerate the motion controls / screen swapping. The "Covert Ops" mission was a momentum killer but at least it wasn't overly punishing.

I'm assuming you can skip it on replays; if you can't then that's a big downer.

I guess I'll have to reflect on how I feel when the game gets more difficult or I start shooting for the challenge medals; it feels about on par with what I remember of Star Fox Assault. Not as good as 64 or a hypothetical SNES-Star-Fox-running-at-60-FPS but it's not the worst thing I've played!

The tough thing is that 100% I care about these games because I'm a furry and don't have much expertise in comparable games like Star Wars Rogue Squadron, Sin and Punishment, Panzer Dragoon Orta.
