Darkest Dungeon is really starting to get to me. These random characters are turning into reluctant heroes, bold heroes out of nowhere, stubborn braggarts, people who turn into abusive scumbags in stressful situations, fearful lovers, etc. It's a game where I can look at the darkness and the fragile bickering of my party and say "No, you aren't taking any of my friends away today."

I know it's pretty grim by design but to me there's something really positive about a game that says "hey, these stressors, quirks, and mental afflictions are real things and sometimes they can cause you setbacks, but there are things you can do to work past them if you are persistent." And the great thing is that the real-world version of that struggle involves fewer diseased swinetaurs.

Poll: how do my Leper and my Abomination who are definitely in love kiss?
