The 3DS is the enemy of my hands
There are some good action games on the DS, but man if the 3DS dpad isn't the least ergonomic thing ever. I'd have a better time through emulation with some of these?
I think maybe RPGs got popular on the DS/3DS because of their ability to not ruin thumbs

Really glad to see Creeper World 4 coming along. The transition to 3D was always a gamble but it looks like it's going to do great things for the series.
It's a strange series too, both quite popular and sort of slept on in the press. Hopefully it'll break out a bit more when the new one's done. Seeing the giant waves of sinister creeper towering over your base certainly adds to its sense of menace.

TBH it reminds me of Fire Emblem Awakening a bit, where a female avatar could end up inadvertently marrying Chrom and being Lucina's mother without the player explicitly saying "yes", just as a result of using the Pair Up command as part of your battle tactics.

Really considering restarting this with fan hacks to improve the drop rates and disable the touch screen gimmicks. It's such a heinous example of a hardware gimmick making a game less accessible and more frustrating for no gain.
And the drop rates are just either bugged or intentionally too low.
aimless game history thoughts
you miss out on a lot of important history if you only look at the "Nintendo" games on the NES and SNES
but this isn't true at all for the N64 and later consoles, which seem to exist as Nintendo Consoles for Nintendo Games
watching a friend stream an RPG makes me want to stream an RPG... just this epic thing to slowly progress through together
