@soft_chomps you're right, but this federates exclusively with Mastodon social & has more of my friends and acquaintances using it. It makes a lot more sense to join here and lurk a bit than hunting down a not terrible instance.
I'll basically use this as a private more personal account, except according to the rules here I can't be as open and I have to tag every small thing. So the opposite of of a personal I guess.
