@Siphonay@octodon.social Bus (or driving yourself) seems to be pretty accessible for relatively short distances of a couple hundred miles. Airplanes can cover longer distances. From what I've seen trains take longer than driving and are more expensive than planes.
My family used to drive 1200km to get together for Thanksgiving. I hope to drive 500km to get to a "nearby" furry con in a couple weeks.
@Siphonay@octodon.social I praise the Interstate Highway System for accessibility, makes it easy to get somewhere else fast, with standardized signs and mile markers, no stopping or slowing down, sharing the road from my little econo-box to family wagons to convoys of big rig trucks.
