Was reading article about athlete's foot (because ow I has it) and they had a really gross example picture of what athlete's foot looks like [not attached]. But there was a Related Article about how to treat jock itch that has this image next to it. awoo.space/media/ZVTDLM6K9yUmV

Are clickbait headlines and massive ad tracking actually beneficial to society? You'll be shocked to find out!

[Article appears briefly after tons of side ads load in, but is immediately covered by another screen]
[What would be a 30 second unskippable video ad starts playing, but pauses to buffer so frequently it takes 3 minutes]
[Button to close and read the article briefly appears followed by a redirect with tons of javascript bullshit that crashes your browser tab]

And I'm soon to wrap up the end of my 5-day staycation. I've gotten a lot done, and more importantly, I've done a whole lot of nothing.

They were all made in the late nineties / early noughties and the company that made them is long gone, but they made a whole lot of them (mainly for schools) and they're pretty cheap used. Built solid too so unless they were thrown in a wood chipper they should last.

Neat thing is its interface - plain old USB, no drivers needed, it emulates a keyboard. Usable on any device that recognizes USB keyboards. Open a blank document or whatever on the device, and push a button on the AlphaSmart, and it "types" out the current file you're working on. Totally OS agnostic, and future-proof-ish as long as devices support USB.

Any writers out there who want distraction-free writing, like a typewriter, but can easily interface with any computer to retrieve what you type?

I can't recommend getting used AlphaSmart products enough. I got a Neo for $30. Small LCD display, full size keyboard, runs for a year on a few AA batteries.

Hey, guess who finally got a Time-Lost Proto Drake?

Me! On my own private WoW server. Also I'm a GM and can give myself any item. awoo.space/media/qlp-EYFiieTzW

I was so absolutely worked up over not being able to put my old seat in and now that it's not a concern all that has washed away and drained and I'm just feeling nearly euphoric.
Or maybe that's just the lack of sleep and the nsaids I've been eating like candy for my sore shoulder.
Either way I'm riding this.

SUCCESS! They had the exact thing I needed in excellent condition and I paid $18 for it (plus $3 admission), but somewhere along the way I lost my nice brand new ratcheting wrench thingy. :(
I had a regular wrench when I got home and that worked great even if it took 5x as long to tighten everything.

It feels absolutely great to have an intact seat again. 🍑 👌

... the junkyard doesn't have a phone number where you can talk to a human to confirm what they have listed on their website. I guess I gotta drive 70 minutes round-trip to find out. Oh well, road trip, and I've got music.

Borrowing friend's car to drive me out to junkyard. They have a CD player! I haven't used CDs in such a long time. I'm taking along a couple of Twink albums, A Very Fine Adventure and Ice Cream Truckin'.

With @catterfly 's help I was able to probably find what I was looking for at probably 1/10th the cost I was expecting to pay. Will have to wait for normal business hours to know more.
