the RPG I worked on with my SO and a friend of ours looks like it's finally getting released. thank goodness...

Long story short to sum up we wrote it, but after constant disappointments and getting let down by people who were meant to be getting things sorted for us (website, etc), in trying to get it released, we sort of gave up and just handed that project over to them. We retain the intellectual rights but basically we're done with writing for it :/

@ghost@anticapitalist.party @keen I'm like this too. I'm REALLY bad about swearing, I used to do it so often I forget I was swearing, so I'm trying to actually curb it now through this. ^^; I'd rather like to not swear if at all possible in future. Excpet when really necessary.

@Firstaide Your spanish teacher at least sounded cool D: But yeah the english school system is...really in need of a drastic change. :(

@Firstaide I literally just got French drilled into me from the very last year of primary school, all through middle school, and way into secondary school. I HAD to take French pre-GCSEs, and one other of my options had to be another language. either Spanish or German. Two years. that's all. I learned nothing and it even set my knowledge of French back too because I got the two confused :/

i mean look i get English has become a de facto Lingua Franca, if that's the term for it, because one can speak BAD english and still be understood by a native speaker of english, but still the arrogance of the british people with regards to the rest of europe is pretty shameful

seriously the english school system for teaching languages is bullshit and worthless for the most part, we start teaching far too late for it to have any meaningful effect in most cases and it's largely "learn this shit by rote and use a dictionary in the exam and we don't give a shit whatever fuck off they should all speak english anyway bloody foreigners".

like there's suddenly some kind of arcane ritual going on and I was asleep during it and I missed out and now there's tentacle beings just hanging out chilling in the sun and sampling delicious frozen treats and I'm just like "wait is there an event or something?"

@Firstaide gameplay wise DN3d is a good capable shooter and for the time the engine was pretty good. It quite cleverly used tricks to get around having sectors (level geometry) overlapping in a 2.5D engine allowing for visible tunnels and such in a couple ways (one used "solid" sprites that could be walked on and shot at, and the other used invisible teleports (which it also used for water you could swim in and 'long falls'). DNF again, capable fps game, but the story and writing just suuuck.

quick thing re last boost Among The Sleep is a horror game but a really good one? So be warned it will likely be quite scary and tense, there's some jumpscares, and ...the subject matter, not to spoil anything, may be hard for some, and it was uncomfortable for me.

So just bear that in mind.
