programming, request
Does anybody know of a better free hex editor? I mostly want something stable and easily usable, but also preferably with support for displaying contents using a replacement table (Translhextion calls this feature "Thingy table view", after an old DOS editor called Thingy).
Also, I'm on Windows most of the time, so something that runs on Windows is preferable.

@Raspberryfloof I've been using HxD recently (https://mh-nexus.de/en/hxd/) and it seems Okay so far; not sure it does the thingy-table stuff though
re: programming, request

re: programming, request
Just realizing "Thingy view" is basically a custom character set.
