Okay I've played the first demo mission of Switch Monster Hunter with a few different classes now and I think I could really get into it, but god the buttons are still clownshoes, haha

@ctrlaltdog@chitter.xyz Yeah, the only modern PCSX2 Linux gamepad plugin literally says when you open it "if you have a controller it just works, this to map buttons to keys only"

like they hard-assume that you're fine with a 1:1 mapping of PS2 to your gamepad and have no options to change it. it's kinda wild really, haha

Anyone know a way in Linux to invert a joystick at a driver level? Some PS2 games have shitty inverted axises and Linux PCSX2's controller plugin just assumes you want a 1:1 recreation of the PS2 on your gamepad with no options otherwise

Most of the old horror classics from King and Kubrick are just evaporating from streaming services and it fucking sucks a lot

But it mostly just made me want to watch the original to see how it compare and holds up and it's no where easily accessible online grumble grumble

I finally saw the newer It a few nights ago and it was genuinely alright. Lots of really creative horror imagery, and some great acting that makes up for a few of the schlocky shock bits

Someone told me the original It was on Hulu and it's not and now I'm severely disappointed

I haven't tried to use Krita seriously for art in something like... six years?
