Going to grab a new case for my computer that will hopefully solve a couple issues (it has a new PSU and better fans)

I finally had to reinstall the OS on my desktop because it was getting really, really crufty, and in the process I opened it up and took out my data drive just in case the install fried it, and

Wow, I should clean the dust out of this more than once every 3 years

To be clear, if you love Blaseball, go wild. This is, if anything, a vent about the larger issues with the content-comes-to-you model, where even if I don't really want to read about the thing, guess what I'm gonna wind up doing anyways.

Criticism is vitally important, and I will still read critics. But right now I want to read them to be alerted to stuff I've never heard of that is brilliant, instead of having my own opinions fed back to me.

I want to go "I enjoyed/did not enjoy that television program, comic book, motion picture or video game" and have that be the end of it. I don't wanna browse the wiki, I'm not gonna read the fanfiction, and I'm definitely not gonna get into pointless internet slapfights over it.

Increasingly certain that the reason I bounce off Blaseball like a bullet off Superman's chest is because 90% of it is the fandom around it, and right now, I want to watch or read or play stuff with like, 0% fandom around it.

Also I am laughing at the thought of the usual grievance grift culture war suspects complaining about Lola Bunny not being hot enough while desperately trying to not out themselves as furries

Anyways, I forgot to put Lola on the generational list of What Made You a Furry, so I'll go do that now because she DEFINITELY was a contributing factor

Multiple people who ran image archives dedicated exclusively to pictures of Lola Bunny complained that people kept sending them images labeled lola1.jpg, making it difficult to track and tag them

It may be difficult to explain, to people who were not there in the Longago of 1996, just how insanely horny the internet got for Lola Bunny

Genuinely wish I could get into Blaseball so that I had at least 10% of a clue to what's going on when everyone on the TL starts talking about how the Banana Shanty has been sung or something
