That sounds amazing and honestly incredibly useful. I mean knowing how to work quickly with what's available to use is good emergency procedure, regardless of how close to a hospital you are.
& this might make me a terrible person, but I think watching Walking Dead helped me realize that stopping bleeding was the higher priority than preventing infection.
So I'm doing a super-fun CPR/First Aide online training for my new job as a behavior therapist. It's 4 hours long, but it's honestly pretty useful information.
I can't believe they didn't require us to do this when I worked as a care provider, though. Medical emergencies were an everyday possibility with that job, and we barely had any training at all.
