Cissexism in exercise/gym advertising
@SuzanEraslan@anticapitalist.party
Yeah, the cissexism in gym advertising is pretty gross. Cissexism and plain old sexism, honestly. Encouraging those dated gender roles is unhealthy for everybody.
But there are still relatively few people who openly ID as non-binary, so expecting every local gym to have NB folx on employ is statistically unlikely.
You share the weirdest cool stuff on here and it's awesome. :3
Personal pet peeve (diabetes related)
People who go "oh I get low blood sugar, I wonder if I'm diabetic".
No, the low blood sugar is a response to the medication we take (insulin). Undiagnosed diabetics have high blood sugar, because they either are resistant to the insulin their body naturally makes (type 2) or their pancreas doesn't make insulin because of autoimmune junk (type 1).
Humbug.
Honestly I think it might be. :P the lady who trained us used the term almost exclusively during presentations and it just fits.
Awww gosh thanks! ^///^
