Also EVERYTHING about RHPS gawd. And other queer artifacts that haven't aged well (Rent, Were The World Mine, Boys Don't Cry, tATu, Buffy, the sad gay guys in Footloose and Camp...) but were still extremely important to me (and others) at the time.
I never went to a live showing of RHPS, but it was probably the first Known Queer Thing I was ever obsessed with. My 13th birthday was RHPS themed and I dressed as Colombia for halloween that year.

Yeah!! It was a really pretty day so I was able to spend a lot of it outdoors for a change (walking dog, playing with kiddo at the park). It was also really physically tiring for this reason- did a lot of climbing with the kiddo and oof! I am out of shaaaape.
But yeah, good day, and excited for the weekend/cuties. :D
Yup, yes, good.
I watched To Wong Foo back in 2013 with some queer friends who purportedly loved it. It seemed *so* dated and problematic to me, but yeah, 90s and 70s queers would take the representation they could get.
What a day! I:
First subbed at the Early Intervention center for my district. Kids with a wide range of special needs from ages 3-6. Really fun!
Then rested, took the dog for a walk, and studied for my competency assessment.
Then went to the park and library with my kiddo, his Nana, and my supervisor. Did OK on the competency exam (missed 1 question but I can retake just that one part next week).
ANYWAY. Exhausted and excited to see cutiefriend in a few days. :3
