Had a very sports lesbian morning! Went for a 45 min jog, then got brunch with my running buddy (brunch being the gayest meal of the day).

Now I'm going to read naked in bed, nap for a bit, and head out to Oak town later to visit the cutie friend. :3

coming out survey

@alice

I haven't come out about gender, but when I came out as bi 12 years ago (age 14), my parent's told me "no you're not".

I continued to come out to them each year until they finally believed me at age 18.

What got me thinking about this was my roommate saying "I can't imagine you being subservient in a relationship."

Which is just... Super weird to me. Because a) why do I come across one way to her and a different way to others? And b) her concept of me (strong-willed, self-assured) is so different from my self concept. How am I giving off such a different impression?

I want to develop better social self awareness. I feel like I have very long understanding of my impact on others in social settings, and being able to reflect on that and modulate it would be a useful skill.

I had an extremely nice day off today!

Slept in, jogged, got some chores done.

Then went to Sacramento to redeem my last massage and visit my pal.

Tomorrow I have more jogging, breakfast with a friendo, then getting vegan food with cutiefriend.

Is living with Avery's parents a viable short term plan until you can find different housemates?

@jannamark@octodon.social

That is totally fair, and I apologise for assuming otherwise!

I guess in my experience it's easier to multitask with a cat (scritches while reading a book or chatting online) while a dog is going to need your undivided attention to go for walks or to play at the park.

Sleeping thoughts

I barely have weekends because I spent at least 13 hours of each day sleeping.

It's not like I'm catching up on sleep from the week though, since I get about 7 hours/night those days.

Maybe I need more like 9 hours? Or to adjust the quality of my sleep?

@dzuk@a.weirder.earth

Oh totally! Yeah I was making a sweeping generalization about cats, but pretty much avoid any pets that need constant attention.

I'm personally a cat person. I want to be consistent enough to be a dog person, but I just don't exist like that.

PSA: Don't adopt a dog if you don't have time to walk and play with them! Get a cat instead. Cats don't have time for *you*.

2/3 of the plants from my old apartment are doing really well! One of them did sadly die (rip tall spindly plant) but the other two have come back nicely.
