@Elizafox My thinking: Working as a cop (enforcing law) is more normative than being an anarcho-communist, and thus more integrative with mainstream US society. But I absolutely used the wrong word by claiming this choice to be "assimilationist".

@Elizafox Some folx are into assimilation politics for a variety of reasons. I don't agree with it personally, but I also think trans folx get to decide for themselves what will help them be safe and survive.
Woo time to make an Amazon wishlist because I definitely *will not remember* what to order once I actually have money for clothes.
And I know Amazon is terrible, but going clothes shopping IRL is so much worse.
I worked 14 hours at my second job last week, which is the most I've worked for them so far! Gosh, maybe I can afford some new clothes soon. :D

Who likes the idea of a Bay Area Masto meetup?
I would like to schedule one for several weekends from now.
