I have started writing again, and am finding it equal parts exhausting and satisfying.
I wrote for just under 20 minutes tonight, and will do more in the morning.
I really need to get to sleep, which means I'll probably read a bit more of Dorian Dawes' Harbringer Island, pace the house a bit, fidget in bed, then eventually fall asleep.
reminder that making bread is exceedingly occult, you're ritually creating a tiny microcosm and then destroying it in fire to create the very first meaningful food ever made, the thing that made us settle down and start doing civilization
@mawr Beautiful. <3
@Damage@mastodon.social Ohhh yeah, I've seen that too! A very good friend of mine wasn't diagnosed with ADHD until she read an article like that and presented it to her therapist, at around age 23 or so. Now that I think of it, she also exhibits some personality traits that could place her on the autism spectrum as well.
Same IRT to being friends with autistic ppl- they've been some of my closest friends now and growing up.
I'll check that book out. Thanks for the rec. :)
Reading about "aspie girls" (written by women with aspergers) and realizing that most of the descriptions are... oddly relatable? I mean I'm not a girl, but I was socialized as one. Idk... I didn't think I was on the spectrum but a lot of this is really relatable, and I know autism often manifests differently in women.
@b_cavello I gently invite you to give it a try! Even if they don't seem better, it's still practice, which will make you better in the long run. :)
@erinbee aww thank you! 💜
@catoutofbed Goodnight! :3
@Fenreliania When that happens, I like to pretend that's it's poetry and it was intentional the whole time. ;D
