US diabetic: I totally agree.

I fucking HATE having to go a doctor to refill prescriptions for insulin and test strips. There is zero chance of this diagnosis changing EVER. I do NOT need to be reevaluated every free months.

I'm stressing bc right now I'm just about to move counties and start a new job. I get medi-cal at my current income through my current county, so will have to change over everything again soon. And possibly go 1-2 months uninsured. ><

Ah haha. I've definitely been there. I had an enormous secondhand couch a couple years ago with all manner of stains on it; kept that covered in blankets and pillows aplenty.

Yeah, it'd be helpful if dreams were less ephemeral, so we could all go back and see what's there. Ah well, I guess that's what dream journals are for, but that's for more dedicated people than myself. :P

It's been a long time since I've dreamed as another person. I think I've had dreams where I'm essentially myself in another situation (usually dystopia jailbreak stuff lol) but I'm still me. This was a very weirdly specific Not Me situation.

I've been having a lot of dreams related to diabetes lately though so that's another weird.

You ever dream in a gender other than your own?

Last night I dreamed I was a 12-13 year old girl with type 1 diabetes in the 1970s. I was at a clinic with other diabetic kids and we were having our daily injection. I was the oldest so I was modeling it for them.

It's weird because I was Definitely a Girl, and also Definitely Not Me in the dream.

Hehehe, very cute. I did something similar with a couple trans femme friends of mine. I had loads of striped tights/thigh highs (lots of different colors) and school girl skirts that I gave away.
