Personal pet peeve (diabetes related)
People who go "oh I get low blood sugar, I wonder if I'm diabetic".
No, the low blood sugar is a response to the medication we take (insulin). Undiagnosed diabetics have high blood sugar, because they either are resistant to the insulin their body naturally makes (type 2) or their pancreas doesn't make insulin because of autoimmune junk (type 1).
Humbug.
2 stories before I actually sleep
1. There are a lot of big, aggressive crows on the campus I work at. One of my kids told me he was scared of them and that he needed me to protect him "from the monsters". I love crows personally but I thought this was really cute.
2. My other kid (who is 9) kept telling me I was a "silly baby" and insisting that she was 26 and I was a child, actually.
