Sorry pal, I may be a bird but I no longer hatch eggs. *Flaps away*

Woke up to roommate and her eggy love interest talking about neural networks in my living room.

When The Advocate Invented Bears

I wish the article discussed the little birdy fellow on the far right tho, because that's DEF me.

When The Advocate Invented Bears

So this article is an amazing and hilarious look at an Advocate article from 1979 called "Who's Who at the Zoo?" with anthropormorphic gay animals. It's PRETTY GREAT.

Alright, gonna lie in bed and listen to Apparat until eventually the darkness folds around me and draws me into slumber.

Night friends!

Real happy with the washes, not so fond of the details. I'll keep trying.

This music video has some really great animation, if you're into that kind of thing.

Ah yeah, this is what I need to be doing with this mood/energy level.

Selfie from Feb 2017

This selfie is a year old.

Look at the cute kitten tail cameo!

Someone replied "loneliness has an echo" in response to my "loneliness has an echo" post and

yes. good. exactly.

Ack, I'm at the point of the night where coffee is keeping me up but I have no idea what to do with myself. Not a lot of energy or sleepiness.

At least until it's so vast that there's nothing left for sound to reverberate from.

My loneliness still has an echo, though.

the haunted mirror/crawl behind the darkness by people-eaters delivers on its title. It sounds exactly like there's something sinister going on in a mirror – skittery percussion, scratching, hollow and flat bells and chimes, unnatural echoes, slightly muddy whispery voices. aetheric-records.bandcamp.com/

Food

My real concerted effort to make healthier nachos.

Contains:
Marinated tofu
Broccoli slaw mix
Shredded carrots
Black beans
Shredded brussel sprouts
Cheese
Blue corn chips

Oops I forgot salsa, adding that too.

Dry skin+ large pores

Hm, my skin more closely resembles dehydrated skin rather than naturally dry skin. It feels tight and it's red and flaky, but still has an oily sheen to it.

Supposedly what causes this is using the wrong products. Which is fine, but I hardly use any skin products? Just a fragrance-free, gentle cleanser twice a day and moisturizer. Tf?

There's a possibility this is related to diabetes. High blood sugar can dry out and irritate skin. That's actually pretty likely.

Dry skin+ large pores

Does anyone else struggle with acne-prone skin that is dry and has large pores?

Any suggestions for skincare regimes?

My brief internet search revealed the usual contradictory suggestions.

I just want a simple solution that won't take forever to implement or cause my skin to go red and flaky.

Skincare

I really want to see a dermatologist and not just a doctor who looks at my skin for 2 seconds and prescribes me retin-A.

I still haven't figured out the right combination of skin products for my fair, sensitive, combination skin with massive pores. Treatments for dry skin don't work and those for oily skin cause redness and pain.

Obviously I need to take care of my diabetic healthcare and mental health needs first, but having bad skin is also troubling.
