Fuck.
Have you all heard Johnny Cash's version of "Hurt"?
Because it's fucking amazing. Like, goddamn. Chills.
Black Panther thoughts
Black Panther was really, really good. But I had some mixed feelings, pretty well expressed by Killmonger's final words: "I would rather be dead than live in bondage."
I think this article did a better job of summing up my mixed feelings, though I wish it had examined those final words, too.

I sort of wonder why sometimes my subconscious lags so far behind the rest of me.
Like last night, for example, I had a dream where I was mooning over my first-ever girlfriend, who I haven't even talked to in person for maybe 8 years. We broke up 11 years ago! What the heck!
... Also saying a girl & I broke up 11 years ago makes me feel *really* old.
I live a few blocks from the water myself, but it's just a few blocks.

My town is definitely *not* lacking for adorable small businesses.
I just walked town, bought the newer paper girls from the comic book store (whose owners I jog with on Sundays), a present for my mom from the bookstore my roommate works at, and a coffee from one of the several small bakeries downtown.
