I'm giving Everything Sucks! on Netflix a try.

So far, so Boring. But the main girl is wearing flannel and a Tori Amos shirt, so, coded queer I think.

You know you spend too much time on Masto when

Everyone knows what you want to eat is nachos. It's always nachos. Just eat the damn nachos, Sparrow.

Food

Also, the eternal question:

Nachos or pita chips/veggie stix and hummus?

Obviously the kombucha is good with either.

I got "sirred" in a restaurant with my family last night, which was both kinda awkward and cool.

I'm considering commissioning some high-quality nudes or bikini shots of myself from a queer photographer.

In part as a self-care gift to myself, and in part as a reminder that non-binary bodies like my own are worthwhile and attractive.

Last day of this extra-long weekend for me.

I want today to be productive, but I'm absolutely lacking motivation. I want to:
- Review Tuesday client's goals
- Study for RBT exam
- Practice ASL/Baby SL
- Jog
- Work out (strength)
- Buy (cheaply) groceries/household goods
- Do "something artistic", ideally sketching practice & some water color

Anyone wanna help motivate me? :P

Black Panther thoughts cont

This article goes even further into depth on some of the mixed feelings I had after seeing Black Panther:

bostonreview.net/race/christop

From the article: "Black Panther is a movie about black empowerment in which the only redeemed blacks are African nobles."

My brother looking over switch games:

"Kirby, cool, Dark Souls, awright, bayon-etta? What is a bay-on-etta?"

"Anime big tits game. Fights with her hair."

Fuck.

Have you all heard Johnny Cash's version of "Hurt"?

Because it's fucking amazing. Like, goddamn. Chills.

Also, goddess bless Danai Gurira. Just, in every way.

Black Panther (mild spoilers)

Also idk if this was intentional or not, but the fight on the vibranium train reminded me a lot of BART, and I was wondering if that was an Oakland easter egg or not. :3

Black Panther thoughts

Black Panther was really, really good. But I had some mixed feelings, pretty well expressed by Killmonger's final words: "I would rather be dead than live in bondage."

I think this article did a better job of summing up my mixed feelings, though I wish it had examined those final words, too.
