Gawd, one of the things my school teaches elementary student's is how to self-regulate their emotions. Basically, ways to cope, calm down, and deal with out-of-control emotions.
I would have *seriously* benefitted from learning this early on. Like, easily 90% of my school and social life problems have been related to understanding and controlling my emotions.
I'm glad kids are learning this now.
Personal pet peeve- when reading through guides for teaching elementary students, and the text assumes that the average teacher is female by using female pronouns.
Ex: "Exploring reasoning is also extremely important for the teacher as a formative assessment tool. It helps her understand each student’s strengths and weaknesses, content knowledge, reasoning strategies and misconceptions."
Okay I've been literally playing this game for an hour. My number sense is... well, hopefully improving.
It's amazing how much teaching in elementary school makes you realize how many basic skills you've forgotten or skipped growing up.
I don't think I'd trust the zippers in any pants from this shop... https://mastodon.social/media/cAWMWvCF4q-DgGVRCGQ
This promo image of her as Ygritte is essentially My Type. (shakes head at having a very obvious Type)
So it's 36 hours until my birthday and I just got a letter in the mail saying my unemployment is officially disqualified AND if I need unemployment again in a year I'm penalized by it being reduced EIGHT TIMES the amount I should get.
I have a week to make rent money and I wanna cry. I don't wanna stress this hard, I just wanna have a nice birthday weekend fml.
