honestly I really enjoy those half time beats with short sections that sound twice as fast in them like you see in a lot of juke/footwork (along with an early example here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N6XhzXB3oY8) and I honestly don't know why I didn't think of doing that myself sooner
like... you'd think it'd be fairly easy at least in theory to Just Write A Driver For This that I could download and hook up the floppy drive I just got in to preserve all this, but apparently no one's tried to do such a thing and I absolutely do not know nearly enough about programming to write code for that myself

due to the difference in file systems it's apparently impossible to read these things on windows without adding a card with a different floppy controller chip, and the closest anyone's gotten to writing software that works to override this behavior requires me to have two floppy drives installed directly on the computer, which uh, good luck even getting your hands on non-USB drives without salvaging them from old computers anymore
