@Shotagonist@mastodon.social Well, it's not like I'm saying it's a bad game, I absolutely adore it and I have no intention of putting it up or anything, but I do feel like it's making suggestions about my own personal spirituality that make me kinda uncomfy, and I'm sure you can understand why I'd feel that way, given I have a very spiritual worldview myself.

@Shotagonist@mastodon.social Yeeeeah. Honestly I have big gripes with the way the game handles it. I feel like it was decided based on a lot of biases by the writers.

@Shotagonist@mastodon.social I REALLY don't like that. I hate that divergence of spirituality & machinery. If biomechanics can house a spirit, so can regular mechanics.
If living were as pleasant as possible for everyone, the maximum possible good in this existence can be achieved. That's their mindset. But again, they are not fanatical about it. It's just a tendency.

Of course they aren't fanatic about it, you can't go through life without killing bacteria or eating, that's part of the cycle too and they're all in animal bodies. But they build with nature, hybridized.
There are many drugs associated with their religion, and they experiment freely to know what it is to be other lifeforms
