The one capable of apathy because she realizes when you go through the Black Lodge, it's not like your self will matter anyways -- save as a memory.
But she still shows respect for boundaries. She just waits for you to *want* her to enter. Many offer themselves to her. She accepts happily, knowing they have found bliss they were yearning for.

i like how lots of earthbound enemies are p. much just anthropomorphized versions of everyday things like trees, mushrooms, etc. since it /is/, at its core, a coming of age story and it just makes sense in that concept.
regular-ass things can be v overwhelming, esp. as a kid and I think that they did a really good job at communicating that in a very endearing way.

@Zero_Democracy The suburbs I grew up in seemed boring and safe at the time, but I think it's far more likely that I was just a dumb kid with a nostalgic view of things and wasn't paying attention.
