Found an extremely damaged phone while walking dog. Screen interface is wrecked. Any suggestions on ethical moves at this point?
@ZiaMacPine Attempt to charge it and maybe try connecting it to a computer to see if any identifying information is revealed. Otherwise there probably isn't much to be done :/
@artfulreggie I'm going to charge it and see if anyone calls in the next few days.
Though, I am very hesitant to connect unknown devices into a computer still you're right it is likely my best option.

@ZiaMacPine ALSO— Mr Robot popularized “rubber duckies” which are modified USB devices that pose as harmless devices but actually run keyboard emulation software enabling them to execute commands as the user when plugged in.
Like plugging in a keyboard with pre-programmed keystrokes someone would type like a ghost.
