I see a lot of people talking about what intrusive thoughts can or cannot be, and I feel like we need to accept that not all intrusive thoughts are the same. Some are very disturbing, some are relatively innocuous. Some are things you’d never ever act on, whereas some are things you might act in some of the time (such as self harm). It’s not just one thing.

@BathysphereHat in general I think people need to recognize they are not medical or mental health experts and just accept a) the vox populii terminology should be broad and b ) peoples brains are weird and different and we dont really understand them fully.
