i'm sorry. what's the etiquette on posting to the timeline. i don't even know and it occurs to me that starting off by having a bunch of heavy CW stuff is maybe not what it was intended for

@glip CWing is fine n good! If you don't want it all showing up on the main timelines, you can set the privacy to "unlisted" so it'll show up for your followers and be publicly visible, but WON'T show up on the local or federated timelines.

or, to go a step further, you can set heavy stuff to followers only for extra privacy, tho currently anyone can follow you. beyond THAT you can set things so that u have to approve followers and THEN post followers-only, but that's a bit much maybe.

@aflightybroad ohhhhhh okay that makes more sense, i didnt mind too much if it was on a timeline but i just didn't want to put it there if it wasn't supposed to be, but im glad cwing seems like it's basically enough?? thanks for the help

@glip you're welcome! there's a lot more options and things to get used to than twitter or tumblr so it can be a lil confusing at first. but yea the CW etiquette is fine.

@aflightybroad that's right there's def more options than twit or tumblr, but i feel like the way this is set up makes so much more sense for mental health reasons and reducing harassment fatigue and stuff... not having to read stuff i don't have the spoons for atm or w/e is really nice

@glip oh yeah not saying it's bad at all! i love it, having the CWs just to like ... prepare yourself, also, is really nice. knowing what a potentially upsetting post'll be about ahead of time is great. and i love the privacy options n levels!
there's just a lot and it was a bit confusing to me at first. 'w'; all of it is positive and makes sense to me.
